Dr. Rodger Wade Pielet
A Different Kind of Doctor
Dr. Pielet is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery,
Inc. He graduated from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed
his internship at Tulane University Hospitals and his general surgery
residency at the University of Chicago. Dr. Pielet joined the faculty
in 1993 after completing a fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive
Surgery at the University of Chicago. Dr. Pielet has authored many
scientific articles and lectured on the scope of plastic surgery and
reconstructive microsurgery.
Dr. Pielet is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons,
the Midwestern Association of Plastic Surgery, the Chicago Plastic
Surgical Society, the American Medical Association and the American
College of Surgeons.
He is currently a clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University
of Chicago and maintains a presence in the academic and clinical training
of plastic surgeons. He has also taught laser physics and laser training
courses both nationally and abroad.
Dr. Pielet has been featured numerous times on both local and national
television for his techniques and innovations in cosmetic and aesthetic
surgery. He was recently featured in an article in Today's Chicago
Woman for his unique and personalized approach to each individual
patient. In addition to his clinical practice and academic contributions
here in Chicago, he donates his time and professional services to
help underprivileged children and adults with congenital deformities
in Oaxaca and Zimapan, Mexico.
His practice now focuses on cosmetic and aesthetic surgery, laser
surgery, and general adult and pediatric reconstructive plastic surgery.
